Think Dell®,
Gateway® or other "off the shelf" computers are
the best buy for your company? Well think again! Although CDC
does handle all major brands of computers, the best solution for most businesses
would be custom built machines. Custom built computers allow us to
design a machine that meets the needs of a specific user(s). Users
that are multi-tasking with several applications
open or running powerful graphics and design applications may require a
much more powerful machine than a user who runs small applications, server
or web based applications.
For example, a shipping clerk that uses their
machine for UPS® shipping software would
operate efficiently with an inexpensive machine while an office manager
who is multi-tasking between several business applications, Microsoft®
or Wordperfect® Office applications, email,
etc. would need a much more powerful computer. CDC Network Solutions
can build computers to fit the needs of a group of users and/or each individual
user within your company.
CDC offers sales, service and support for their
custom built computers and will match or beat most warranties and service
contracts that the "big guys" provide. Most of our machines currently
include a 3 year warranty on hardware at no extra charge! And we
don't try to sell you service contracts
on top of manufacturer's warranties where you are virtually paying twice.
Take a little time to go over the reasons for considering a custom built
machine below;
Cost-
We purchase the components of our computers from
major wholesalers at prices low enough to provide you with machines that
are equal to the "big guys" machines almost always at substantial savings.
In many cases our "one at time" price on a custion built machine has been
lower than "quantity pricing" from other companies. With a CDC custom built
computer you only pay for what you need. You don't have to buy a
machine with hardware or software you don't need to get what you want.
Components-
We use name brand components as well as prime supplier
components (large manufactures that build parts for the name brand guys).
Some of the components we use are;
-
AMD - Intel - Maxtor - Hitachi - Western Digital - Foxconn - Machspeed
- Gigabyte - Sony - Aopen - Liteon - Creative Labs - Microsoft - Logitech
- Nvidia - ADI - Acer - Gem - Cyber Acoustics - US Robotics - Patriot -
and many, many more brand name products.

Latest Technology-
We can provide customers with the latest technology,
often before it is available from the name brand computer companies.
How can we do that? For instance, when Intel®
comes out with a new cpu, orders are shipped to the wholesalers as well
as the brand name computer suppliers, By the time the big guys have
used up their old stock, sold and shipped their existing inventory, re-tooled
the assembly lines, stocked the new components, assembled, begin shipping,
etc. we have had access to that same cpu months before theirs hits the
retail market.
Performance-
Since we can match the specifications of any "off
the shelf" computer our machines will perform as well and in many cases
they will out perform an equivalent machine. We make sure our computer
components are properly "matched". And we don't load up our machines
with promtional software. For example;
-
We only install a cpu on a motherboard that has been tested for that specific
cpu. Each machine is "burned in", and tested before we deliver it
to the customer.
-
And we don't "bundle" or install a bunch of trial software, shareware applications,
internet browsers and just plan junk that you will never use. Most
of this stuff not only takes up space on your hard drive, but actually
slows your machine down! Most of this "free" stuff will have applications
and processes running in the background using up resources such as cpu,
memory, etc.
Keep in mind that most of these name brand computer companies don't
manufacturer the components in their compters anyway! They are just
"assemblers", buying the least expensive parts they can.
Your custom built computer will cost less, run faster and require
less maintenance!
