Remote Locations

    Problem- Twice a year an automobile dealership holds a special event sale at the Sam's Wholesale Club parking lot.  It had proven to be a very sucessful event however pre-qualifiing customers and closing a sale without access to their computers, data system or the internet was a problem.  Customers would have to be sent back to store to for an interview with finance personal and many times it was difficult to "close" a deal on the spot.

   Solution- Using Cisco® equipment CDC Network Solutions set up a wireless bridge from the dealership's main location across the interstate to Sam's Club parking lot. The dealership rented a camper and CDC set up the finance manager's computer and printer then connected him to the main store's network.  The wireless equipment allowed a broadband connection and speed was absolutly not an issue.  With the additon of a Cisco switch, the General Manager was able "plug in" her lap top and work from the sale location. The dealership was able to "close" deals and guarantee delivery to the customer on the spot!
